day 2 day 3 This is day 4. Technically itīs not done, because I still want to go back and touch up a couple places, tweak the color a little bit, but itīs close. I could probably also leave it how it is and it wouldnīt drive me insane. It started out as a sketch for a larger project, but in my opinion itīs come into its own as a painting, despite its tinyness (8x10 inches). Furthermore it cured my current episode of paintersī block. Compositionally, I tried to stay away from symmetry, placing the hand and neck on opposite sides of center. I tried to create some tension... But my seemingly permanent propensity for symmetry has struck again; youīll note the lowest finger and left (your left) side of the neck are both dead center. Oh well...? |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
