Talk Isn't As Cheap (As We've Been Lead To Believe)
Oil on Masonite, 20x24" January 01, 2006 The first painting of the new year, full of angsty goodness. The particular meaning is more personal than I'm going to go into here. It's painted on the ungessoed back of a piece of masonite because I wanted the texture. It was really absorbent, which was annoying, and we'll have to wait to see how the copious amounts of turpentine will or won't affect it. In my approach, I tapped into ~ezrawolf's style in his drawings/paintings that are montage of faces, because it suited my purposes, even though my style normally isn't too much like his. Overall, it's not fantastic, but I guess it wasn't really meant to be. |
